MIKE AND GRAEME SUPPORT RECYCLING CARDS
Local parliamentarians Mike Weir MP and Graeme Dey MSP visited Morrisons in Arbroath yesterday to support the Salvation Army led Christmas Card recycling scheme, operating within the store.
Mr Weir and Mr Dey met up with deputy manager Barrie Watt when they popped into Morrisons to recycle their own cards and learn of the success of the scheme which runs until the end of January.
Mr Weir said – “It is always nice to receive cards at Christmas but it is important that rather than simply discard these once the festive season is over we recycle them.’’
Mr Dey said – “ I would commend the Salvation Army and Morrisons for operating this scheme, which we discovered is proving a big hit, and would encourage all constituents to take up this or any similar opportunities to recycle their Christmas cards.’’
