“I have been a strong supporter of Fairtrade form any years and I am delighted that Fairtrade sales have increased by around 40% every year, giving hundreds of thousands of producers in developing in developing countries the chance to build a better future and to complete in cut-throat global markets.
“I am very much looking forward to my visit to the Oxfam shop in Arbroath later this week to discuss current Fairtrade issues and strategies, and to discover how Angus can do more to help the wider world.
“We all now have the chance to play an even bigger part in helping bring about much more significant change.”
